Sam Perin is an illustrator and concept artist who specializes in creating a strong sense of environment in his work. He got his start at an early age when he took an art class in fifth grade with artist Magdelena Hoyos-Segovia, and he never looked back. Ever since he has been obsessed with any and all things painting.
He has studied everything from academic drawing to contemporary lighting design, and works to implement traditional fundamental art practices and concepts into his visual development work. He has completed many projects throughout his art career and is expected to receive a B.A. in illustration and conceptual design from Indiana University, Bloomington in May of 2022. When he is not painting Sam Perin can be found curled up with his girlfriend Brooklyn and their dog Annie, watching movies, enjoying nature, and jogging outside.
